- A
completed and signed Order Form will be required before undertaking
any project.
- The Order Form lists details of the task and any specific requirements;
the hourly rate and/or expected cost and our confidentiality
clause, all of which when signed indicate the client's acceptance
of these Terms & Conditions.
- Payment should
be made by cheque, payable to
L R Browne, alternatively
NoChex, an online payment system can be used.
- Where applicable,
30% of the estimated cost, or a purchase order outlining
the project, is expected in advance with the balance/full payment
expected strictly within 14 days of completion. If the bank
returns a cheque, the client will be responsible for all
bank charges resulting from the returned cheque.
- For insurance
and safety reasons, personal visits to
our premises will not be permitted under any circumstances.
- Back-up copies
of client files are kept for a period of one year only.
After that time, they will be deleted.
- All clients
are advised that
original documents should be sent via a traceable
method of delivery, either by post office special
delivery or courier.
- Transcribers.co.uk
are not
responsible for the end use of any document produced
or edited by us. Clients are solely responsible for its appropriate
use, including abiding by any copyright laws, plagiarism laws
and publishing requirements.
- Transcribers.co.uk
are not responsible for the content
of any document supplied to them. Clients should not pass off
plagiarised material as their own original work. Transcribers.co.uk
will assume no responsibility and/or liability for any plagiarised
material supplied by a client and reserve the right to return
the work should we become aware of such inappropriate use. We
retain the right to reject work for any client which involves
material we find to be illegal, immoral or objectionable.
- An additional administration charge of £10.00 per order will apply to any order of less than £100.

Please
Note:
- final responsibility
for proofreading errors in completed work rests solely with
the client. Transcribers.co.uk can accept no responsibility
for errors found after submission but will gladly correct any
found within a reasonable time scale. If errors are found in
the work, they will be rectified free of charge but they must
be notified within 24 hours of receipt of completed work or
within 14 days for work of more than 3000 words. Should any
errors be found in the work, Transcribers.co.uk will be liable
for the cost of the work only - no further liability is acknowledged.
- that should
the client's original requirements change, we reserve the
right after suitable consultation to amend the original quotation.
- in
the current climate of prolific computer viruses, all incoming
emails, files or disks will be scanned. However, even after
scanning Transcribers.co.uk will still not open unsolicited
attachments to emails or emails containing no message or
subject heading alongside the attachment.
- before commencement of any undertaking, Transcribers.co.uk will
also issue a written copy of these terms and conditions.
- if an order is cancelled once a deposit is received, a standard administration fee of £10.00 will be applied to any refund.
Transcribers.co.uk will
provide a full written quotation listing your specific requirements
for your consideration prior to work commencing. We reserve
the right to change after discussion with the client, this quotation
or issue a new quotation should the clients requirements change dramatically.
Confidentiality Clause
At no
time or in any manner will Transcribers.co.uk,
either directly or indirectly, use for the personal or commercial
benefit of Transcribers.co.uk, nor
divulge, disclose, or communicate in any manner any information
that is proprietary to a client. Transcribers.co.uk will
protect such information and treat it as strictly confidential.
This provision shall continue to be effective even after the termination
of any agreement.
Transcribers.co.uk understand
that confidentiality is a sensitive issue for clients and we are
happy to sign any non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement a
client may require.
